I started cutting and gluing collages when I was in a quarantine hospital for a month. There was nothing out of entertainment there except for magazines worn by several generations of sick people, and I began to steal glue from nurses and collect from them strange pictures inspired by drugs. It quickly became clear that the collage technique gives unprecedented freedom and the ability to use those images that are simply impossible to capture with graphics and painting. It overlapped with my love of the method of literary cutting by Brion Gysin and William S. Burroughs and, in the end, it became some sort of personal zen variety - browsing magazines for hours, sorting through clippings, looking for the very perfect match of meanings and forms. It seems to me important in these works to process lifeless waste paper, paper waste, which has no value, into aesthetic objects that can find a response. That is why I consider it important to not buy or print anything - I either find magazines or give them to me; Naturally, this greatly complicates matters.
The main topics that concern me, and which I try to express in my works, are the place of man in the Universe and his relationship with society and himself. It seems to me that at times, a destroyed and recycled object is much more interesting than its original appearance. A collapsed house, burned out grass, a plate flying into shards - on the one hand, this may seem like absolutely negative phenomena, but on the other hand, these are impulses for the appearance of something new; such destruction for creation. Also, we humans come to this world with fragments of something very large, something that everyone calls in his own way - Cosmos, God, Time or Eternity, and all our life we are looking for our own, only right place.
