People’s Artist of the RSFSR Natalya Georgievna Gundareva was truly a folk actress. Talent, multiplied by powerful energy, soul wealth and love of life, willpower and intellect, gave an unforgettable effect of joy from her art. Her roles were highlighted by the rich, often unpredictable, multi-tone palette of the actress, always admired by the absolute uncomplicated truth and openness of feelings.

At this exhibition, the actress will “talk about herself”: numerous interviews and conversations with friends served as the basis for annotations to the exhibits. A single exposition layer reflecting the path to the pinnacle of excellence will be composed of its stage images in photographs. Gundareva’s cinematographic and television roles are divided into two time periods (Soviet time and the beginning of the “new time” - when the connection of time “broke up”). The exposition presents the main themes of her on-screen works: from stunningly authentic, worldly sober “girls from the crowd”, thanks to which the viewer immediately recognized Gundareva as his, to the affirmation of the family female happiness, motherhood, human dignity of heroines surviving in dramatic situations, in conditions of emancipation (1980s), and later - to the characters of the 1990s, standing on the verge of the collapse of the soul, with whom the actress tried to give up hope for a human rebirth.

The exposition dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the actress will use materials from the funds of the State Museum of Music named after A.A. Bakhrushin: decorative material, posters, unique photographs, manuscript archive of Yu.V. Katina-Yartseva (her teacher at the B.V.Schukin Theater School). Moscow Academic Theater Vl. Mayakovsky kindly provided costumes in which Gundareva appeared on the stage in her most famous roles.
