From February 6 to March 28, the Gallery of Classic Photography will host an exhibition of nature photographs NATURE PHOTO EXP.
The exposition contains more than 100 works of 23 Russian photographers who shoot throughout the country - from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka. Among them, photographs of endangered species of animals and birds, which rarely fall into the camera lens and have not previously been presented at major exhibitions and festivals.
The variety and breadth of the thematic scope of the photographs is impressive: from underwater shooting of the mysterious inhabitants of the sea depths to Kamchatka brown bear families and volcano species from a bird’s eye view. Bright and unusual exhibition will be interesting for adults and children, all lovers of nature and wildlife, as well as professional photographers. Visitors will see photos of rare animals, unique moments of their life, will be able to look into the most remote corners of our country.
Participants of NATURE PHOTO EXP - titled authors, winners and jury members of the most prestigious international competitions - “Golden Turtle”, Wildlife Photographer of the Year, GDT, Montier-en-Der; regular participants of the festival "Primordial Russia". These are recognized experts in their field, whether underwater, macro or landscape photography.
In order to capture the pristine beauty of nature, the authors of the project traveled thousands of kilometers by visiting protected places that civilization had not reached and where sometimes a human foot had not set foot.
“A large number of people today have access to travel around the world. However, not many people manage to see the sunrise from the mountain peak, lava flows from the volcano’s mouth, swim under water next to a huge whale, observe the movement of stars, the game of the northern lights in the night sky, and find themselves in a mystical forest shrouded in fog. A lifetime is not enough for all this! - one of the authors of the exhibition is convinced photographer Vladimir Medvedev. - Feels like it’s like finding yourself in the looking glass. Here you can run nose to nose with a wild beast. Believe me, this is far from the same as seeing an animal in a zoo. ”
The presented photographs give the viewer the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of wildlife, experience the joy of discoveries, and also relive those emotions that the authors experienced by pressing the button of their camera.
It is also worthwhile to come and see pictures of animals in their natural habitats because at the exhibition in the Gallery of Classic Photography, photographs are presented in large format: a great opportunity for exhibition guests not only to get acquainted with unique representatives of the animal world, but also to admire the beauty of amazing creations of nature.
