Emma Tsugunyan’s exhibition “Fashion Wall: My Dear Values” at the DEVE Gallery Moscow on Red October Automatic translate
From April 9 to April 22 in DEVE Gallery Moscow on Red October will be a personal exhibition of the artist Emma Tsugunyan.
Emma is one of those artists who remain honest with themselves. Not following the canons of modern art, Emma embodies personal ideals and aspirations. The search for perfection in Emma takes place in a bold and experimental way, often complicated and thorny. Emma is not afraid to experiment and her sense of taste in this does not fail. The somewhat abstract, but recognizable heroes of her works are endowed with character and power and look at the viewer bewitching, while leaving the work with ease of perception, freedom from hidden meanings and ingenuity.
Everything is quite easy and relaxed: aesthetically pleasing, characteristic and bright. It is important for the artist to keep in touch with the audience, her art is open, sincere and friendly, this is her credo, this is what formed the basis for the creation of the Fashion Wall project: “… Good… beauty… love… freedom…Vera! Here are my values … and my every work… just talks about it… shows it… screams or whispers about it… this is the light… this is my truth… with whom I share "- E. Tsugunyan
An important place in the work of Emma Tsugunyan is the creation of aesthetics, where the artist’s passion for design plays a significant role. Bright colors, like Matisse; a thick, relief layer of paint, giving the picture a velvet surface; collage use; introduction of Swarovski crystals; - all these elements take turns play a fundamental role in the compositional solution, which varies from series to series - from year to year. At the exit, we get bright decorative canvases telling us this or that sweet story.
Despite not much creative experience, Emma has had exhibitions in Moscow, Strasbourg and Vienna. The exhibition in the DEVE Gallery Moscow will feature works of different years, united in series, where each emphasize a particular value that plays an important role in the artist’s work: kindness, light, freedom, choice… This is a kind of attempt to evaluate in a new way take a look at the past creative path and continue a completely different one, full of new discoveries and impressions.
