Elena Artsutanova’s painting is thick and pasty. As temperamental as the author herself. Its essence is color. In each of her works, Elena develops the theme of the meeting of several colors, expresses this meeting as a drama, gives it a major or tragic sound. Complex color relationships are built on sharp contrasts and subtle nuances, but the main thing in them is maximum activity, tension.
