February 14 at 17:00 ALPERT GALLERY (Moscow, Krasnokazarmennaya street, 3) will open the door for guests exhibition of Ekaterina Antropova "Reflections". Ekaterina Antropova is an artist and teacher, a member of the International Association of Artists, a graduate of the Surikov Institute (workshop of Tahir Salakhov).
For twenty-five years she taught drawing, painting and composition to students of the 1905 Academic College and still continues to conduct private lessons.
Simple and somewhat childishly naive images of the world around, caught by the adult eye of the artist, turn into a carnival world on the verge of reality and imagination: Catherine captures a colorful dream-memory, a reflection of reality on canvas. The bright colors that she prefers to use in her work resemble stained glass of ancient cathedrals and add up to a clear picture, unambiguous and at the same time mysterious. The main theme of her works is the surrounding world: a combination of different textures and forms, worldly plots refracted through the author’s view, a thin longing for places that were once seen. Ekaterina Antropova about the exhibition: “I am inspired by the beauty of the world, which can be seen in many ways. Photos, trips, sunny day - anything can cause excitement in the soul. You know, as with Akhmatova: “When would you know from what rubbish verses grow, without knowing shame. “Like a yellow dandelion at the fence, like burdocks and quinoa.” But this is not rubbish at all - this is the very reflection of a reality common to all, but actually different for everyone. " The exhibition "Reflections" will include more than 30 paintings of various genres: from small sketches and landscapes to large-scale psychedelic paintings.
See you! Come to solve the carnival secret - the exhibition will last until February 28.
