May 19 at 18:00 in the Perm Art Gallery will open the exhibition "Gift". This exhibition show is dedicated to new arrivals to the gallery funds.
At the exhibition you will see about 50 works by 27 authors who entered the gallery’s collection over the past two years. This is only part of a large stock replenishment over the past two years. In total during this time, the gallery received more than two hundred works of authorship made in different materials, techniques, genres and styles.
Among the donors there are both contemporary artists of different generations and schools, as well as the heirs of departed artists. For example, from Olga Beskina-Labas, niece of the famous representative of the Russian avant-garde Alexander Labas, the gallery received watercolor paintings by the master of 1930-1940. Works of the People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Sergey Gavrilyachenko, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Felix Volosenkov; Igor Makarevich, a conceptual painter, a member of the Collective Actions group, became an adornment of the collection of Russian gallery art.
Perm painting is represented by the works of Yuri Lapshin, Valery Podkuiko, Tatyana Necheuhina, Maxim Nurulin, Konstantin Nikolaev, Maxim Kayotkin, Maxim Titov and Evgenia Naymushina.
In harmony with modern Russian painting is a painting by the French expressionist painter Guy de Montlor, donated by his son to the year of the 95th anniversary of the Perm Gallery.
A serious contribution to the collection of “naive art” of the gallery was the gifts of Nadezhda and Andrei Agishev (New Collection Foundation) - graphic and pictorial works of Rudolf Tyurin, Anna Aborkina. The art director of the private gallery “Unicum” Vadim Zubkov presented the gallery with a collection of graphic works by Russian artists Alexandra Jacobson, Fedor Rerberg, George Nissky and Yuri Charyshnikov.
The exhibition runs until July 1, 2018.
