On March 3, in the Gallery of Siberian Art (Karl Marx str., 23) within the framework of the long-term exhibition project "Baikal Regions" the exhibition "Baikal Route" opens. The exposition includes about 50 works by 10 artists who live and create their works on Lake Baikal.
The exhibition presents works of painting, graphics, sculpture and decorative arts by artists living and working in settlements on the shores of Lake Baikal: Listvyanka, Port Baikal, Staraya Angasolka, Kultuk, Slyudyanka, Baikalsk. For each of the ten authors, Baikal is a source of inspiration. The habitat, devoid of fuss, turns into a special reserved territory of creativity, and the accompanying loneliness provokes new discoveries, searches, experiments. The exhibition includes works by Gennady Ulankin, Vladimir Osipov, Dmitry Osipov, Arkady Lodyanov, Natalia Lodyanova, Elena Yanovskaya, Irina Paklina, Arkady Bairov, Oleg Ushakov and Valery Zverev.
The exhibition project "Baikal Regions" is designed to explore and show the viewer the originality of the isolated art centers of the Baikal region. So, the first exhibition of the project was dedicated to the artists of the city of Angarsk, the plans are to show the Irkutsk viewer the general creative features of the work of the authors of Sayansk, Shelekhov, Ust-Ilimsk, Bratsk, Usolye-Sibirskiy.
The exhibition "Baikal Route" will be open at the Gallery of Siberian Art (Karl Marx St., 23) until March 28. Due to the difficult epidemiological situation, visiting the museum is still possible only by appointment (tel.: 33-43-89). The museum has a mask mode.
