October 25, 2017 at 17.00 in the National Art Gallery "Khazine" of the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan opens the exhibition "Bucky Urmanche" I enjoy only the work itself… ", dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the outstanding artist - painter, sculptor, graphic artist, monumental master, decorative art by Bucky Idrisovich Urmanche. The exhibition includes more than two hundred paintings, sculptures and drawings from museum and private collections.
The concept of the exhibition, its direction using the artist’s literary work, photographs of the era represents an immersion in the art of a bright, original master whose work is imbued with incredibly positive energy and bright colors. The works of fine art of Urmanche are accompanied by the author’s memories, in which his life and work are brightly and vividly presented. The fate of the artist was associated with Kazan, Moscow, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan. Urmanche reflected in his canvases and sheets, sculptural works the unique beauty of these places and her people: in portraiture, historical painting, genre painting, landscape, still life, sketches of monumental paintings and stage costumes and scenography.
Museums and private collectors from Kazan, Moscow (in particular, works by the Halley Gallery and the Sh. Mardzhani Foundation) and Almetyevsk take part in the exhibition. For the first time, the public will be shown works previously not exhibited in Kazan: “In the Foothills of the Alatau” from the collection of the Fund named after Sh. Mardzhani, watercolor sketches of views of Kazan from the collection of A. D. Galiullin, sketches of the Tatar costume and scenography from the private collection of the Renaissance Antique Salon, sketches of monumental murals of the Balkhash Palace of Culture from the collection of the Almetyevsk Picture Gallery named after G. S. Stefanovsky.
As part of the anniversary events, the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan holds on October 25–26 the Fifth Kazan art readings dedicated to the anniversary of the great Tatar artist. Scientists from Kazan, Almaty, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nalchik, Novorossiysk, Chisinau take part in them.
A large book, Bucky Urmanche, has been prepared for publication and is currently in print, which will be published during the exhibition (the exhibition runs until March 1, 2018). The book presents the colossal creative heritage of the master, publishes his works, previously unknown to the general public, and a large archival material, as well as articles by artists and culture of different years about the work of B.I. Urmanche.
