From the author:
“The desire to draw arises constantly. It is not subject to reason and common sense, it lives in every second of my life. This is instinct, a call, the content of things, the essence of my existence.
It is hard to resist looking at the surface and structure. When you have pencils or markers at hand and you understand that it’s just a moment - a new image, a new plot, new color combinations will appear.
I travel often, so airplanes are one of the places where I have been waiting for take-off or landing for a long time.
Traveling is inspiring. And inspire not only artists. Such is the essence in the sky and in these iron birds - to fill with dreams every person, everyone who is detached from the Earth and is in an unusual state for us - the state of flight.
Once again, fastened my seat belts and looked into the window, I felt that I really want to make a sketch. Let it be small, very conditional, but it is obligatory here and now and it is in the airplane that it should transfer its internal state to paper.
Eyes looked for a surface, a clean space on which to draw lines, put color spots, make a few strokes. Nearby, I did not find anything except the usual on-board set for passengers, among which I noticed standard hygiene packages with an excellent surface, so convenient and suitable for my manifestation of creative thoughts. So there was a series of works on packages presented at the ART AVIA exhibition in Kiev. Some of them painted directly in the sky. The rest was created after landing.
I continue to study the aviation theme, to look for new air surfaces and planes for paintings. I hope to paint several planes in the future. ”
