“Music of Color” is a joint project of two closely related creative personalities: painter Ashot Khachatryan and composer, arranger, pianist Armen Sargsyan. Canvases in the still life genre are striking with a riot of color - images of juicy watermelon, ripe fruits, bright, eye-catching bouquets. Ashot Khachatryan’s portraiture is expressive and diverse. The portrait of St. Petersburg pianist Polina Fradkina, perfectly conveying her creative manner of performing musical works, will be shown at the exhibition as a reflection of the project’s idea - a fusion of music and color.

Within the framework of this project, a musical evening will be held, where the works of Armen Sargsyan will be performed.

Ashot Khachatryan was born in 1954 in Armenia in the city of Armavir.

In 1973 he graduated from the Yerevan School of Decorative and Applied Arts. After two years of study at the drawing department of Yerevan Pedagogical Institute H. Abovyan, in 1977 he moved to Leningrad. In 1978-1981 he was a volunteer at the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. I.E. Repin.
