The Irkutsk Art Museum presents to the public a personal exhibition of the artist Kirill Gavrilyev “Archetypes. Infinity. Time ”(Republic of Sakha, Yakutia). The exposition will be housed in the Gallery of Siberian Art.
The audience will see about 50 paintings and graphic works. Most of them are from the artist’s personal collection. There are also six works from the collections of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Sakha. They were made in different years of the author’s work, the earliest of the “Reindeer” presented at the exhibition dates from 1989.
The main theme of the works of Kirill Gavriliev is the inextricable connection of a person with the land where he was born, his genetic memory of his native land, which lives in the soul. The artist’s creativity is associated with mythology, history and the rich cultural and everyday traditions of the people, seen in a new way.
In Irkutsk, the work of Kirill Gavriliev will be presented for the first time. The author himself is a participant in numerous republican and all-Russian exhibitions. A graduate of the Leningrad Art Institute, he has been combining creativity with teaching since 1985. Since 1997 he is the director of the Yakutsk Art College.
The work of the exhibition “Archetypes. Infinity. Time ”will last until February 26, 2017. The opening will take place on February 3 at 16.00 at the address: Irkutsk, st. Karl Marx, 23. According to the tradition of the museum, the entrance to the opening is free.
