The works of the famous Cuban artist and graphic artist Omar Godines introduce painting admirers to the development of contemporary Latin American art. In essence, this is a translation into the language of plasticity of sensations and perceptions of the world. These are plastic myths, in them the magic of man’s creation, and the whole volume of human feelings and thoughts ”- this is how the artist defines his creative method, the meaning of art in his life.
The younger generation of Cuban artists is represented by the work of the artist Maria Valdes Odriosola. Maria Santiagovna Valdes Odriosola was born in Moscow in 1979 in a Russian-Cuban family. Graduated with honors from the art and graphic faculty of Moscow State Pedagogical University and graduate school of Moscow State Open Pedagogical University named after M.A. Sholokhov. The origin of Maria Valdes Odriosola subsequently determined the development of her work and international cultural activities. Since 2006, Maria has been a member of the Union of Artists of Russia and the UNESCO Association of Fine Arts, a member of the Cuban Bienes Cultural Foundation.
Maria Valdes Audriosola is a participant in many art exhibitions. The artist turns to different genres, but the landscape in her work takes the main place. The palette of her paintings is filled with southern temperament, which is manifested not only in Caribbean motifs, but also in Russian landscapes. Maria Valdez Odriosola has proved herself as a talented writer - she is the author of several books on art.
The life of modern Cuba, as well as Russia, is represented in the photographs of Vivian del Rio . Photographer, illustrator, designer, Vivian del Rio was born in Moscow in 1966, and spent her childhood in Cuba, where her father was born from. Therefore, her work inspires both Russia and Cuba, Moscow and Havana. Vivian graduated from the Moscow Polygraphic Institute with a degree in graphic art. However, she began as a painter in the 1990s, and in the 2000s. seriously carried away by photography. Vivian is a member of the Moscow Union of Artists, as well as the Union of Russian Photographers. A teacher of the school of visual arts, the author of several books, including “Habana + Moscow”, Vivian del Rio lives and works in Moscow, is engaged in photography, painting, the art of illustration, design.
