A. Zakharov travels a lot, the geography of his creative trips is wide and diverse. The artist has repeatedly visited the Russian North, which he especially loves. In the White Sea, in Karelia, the Republic of Komi and Kholmogory, among untouched nature, he wrote, perhaps his best works, in which he created powerful epic images of the harsh northern nature.
From each trip, the artist brings a lot of natural landscapes in which his personal perception of what he saw, his own ideas about the uniqueness of nature and urban landscapes of different countries were uniquely reflected. In the works performed in Italy, Hungary, China, France, Uzbekistan, he manages to capture the most vivid impressions, engraved in memory at first sight, stopping his attention with something unusual.
A reverent attitude to nature and fidelity to the national traditions of realistic art distinguishes the artist’s work.
Zakharov’s landscapes, painted as if in one breath, reflect the feelings and sensations of the artist himself, possess unique copyright features, which was manifested in the subtle, refined paintings and emotional systems of Parisian landscapes. It works exclusively from nature, thanks to the impressionistic mobility of the smear accurately and sharply capturing the fleeting states of nature, the slightest nuances of color change, air movement.
Despite the specific, pictorial plastic language that characterizes the artist A. Zakharov - “a la prima”, he does not have constant external methods, but his attitude to reality, the need for its figurative interpretation and creative interpretation.
The master of color relationships, A. Zakharov builds his painting on the finest color solutions, but at the same time he thinks compositionally in large numbers, which gives his works a monumental sound, and the expressive brush movement creates a rich texture, makes the canvas vibrate from light and color.
