People’s Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, member of the Union of Artists of Russia and Tatarstan, Anatoly Pashin is one of the interesting and fruitfully working masters of the republic. In the many-sided and diverse modern art, the artist is distinguished by his unique style, expressed in the creation of a variety of graphic and pictorial series of works.
The opening exhibition in “Khazine” will present about 90 paintings and graphic works from the series: “Turkic motifs”, revealing the deep connections of the cultural traditions of the Bulgarian, Slavic, Tatar with the ancient culture of Altai; based on the poem by Kul Gali “Kyssai Yosif” (“The Legend of Yusuf”); “Requiem”, dedicated to beloved, untimely departed women; "Zakamskie Madonnas," etc.
Anatoly Pashin - a masterly draftsman who owns a variety of techniques, a master in transmitting momentary impressions, subtly capturing the essence - the nature of images, time, era: “Ancestors of the Bulgars”, series “Kama-Katun” (original graphics, mixed media: monotype, canvas, acrylic, collages).
A series of graphic works “Kama-Katun”, made in 2016 using the monotype technique, is the result of numerous expeditions to the Altai Mountains and the Volga Bulgaria. His symbolic multi-figure compositions contain the main message to his contemporary - admiration for the uniqueness and scale of Turkic culture, the deep genetic connection of two different geographically places. The artist created the graphics directly on the spot in the village of Oskat, not far from Gornoaltaysk.
The work of the artist Anatoly Pashin is convincing evidence of the synthesis of Turkic traditions and modern art trends. The artist constantly improves his skills, works a lot and fruitfully, and creates in his works a special atmosphere of real and at the same time fantastic life.
His work can be arbitrarily designated as neo-romanticism - directions in the Tatar art, where, through his searches and discoveries, Pashin contributes to the art of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The exhibition runs until July 23, 2017.
