In the Museum and Exhibition Complex of the School of Watercolor from July 12 to July 29, 2018 there will be a personal exhibition of a remarkable artist, famous illustrator and graphic artist Anatoly Zinovievich Itkin. Anatoly Zinovievich, Honored Artist of Russia, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, is one of the prominent representatives of the famous "Dekhterev School".
The exhibition will feature the author’s works in watercolor. Magnificent landscapes, still lifes, as well as original illustrations for the first and most famous historical novel by M. Twain “The Prince and the Pauper”.
Anatoly Itkin worked as an illustrator in many Moscow publishing houses: Children’s Literature, Kid, Soviet Russia, etc. For his creative work, Anatoly Zinovievich made illustrations for a huge number of books - from children’s fairy tales to Russian and foreign classics.
The illustrations of this artist are always striking in their realism. And this effect is achieved thanks to the painstaking preliminary work of Anatoly Zinovievich: a careful study of the work itself, the author’s biography, his time and style, etc.
Anatoly Itkin’s works are in the collection of the State Tretyakov Gallery, in the State Museum of A.S. Pushkin, in the Central Museum of A.S. Pushkin in St. Petersburg, in the State Literary Museum, in the Literary Museum of A.N. Tolstoy in Samara, in the Museum -the reserve "Abramtsevo", in the Tver Museum of Local Lore and in private collections in Russia, Yugoslavia, Israel, the USA, Germany and South Korea.
