October 4 at 16.00 in the Gallery of Siberian Art (Karl Marx St., 23) will open the personal exhibition of Alexander Fedorovich Vesnin "Landscape and Still Life of the Baikal Region", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the author. The exhibition includes more than 50 paintings that give a convincing idea of the talented diversity of the master’s work.
The famous Siberian artist Alexander Fedorovich Vesnin was born in 1939 in the Altai Territory. After graduating from the Omsk Pedagogical Institute named after A.M. Gorky, the artist connected his further creative destiny with the Irkutsk region.
His images are not impressive in contrasts or unusual romantic states. Calm and concentrated contemplation of nature allows the artist to see and convey the lyrical motifs of nature, enchanting with its simplicity and naturalness, or Siberian landscapes imbued with severe pathos.
Through a soulful and direct dialogue with nature, the artist recreates a special “objective” form of its existence, commensurate with man and the artist’s mental state. Communicating with living nature, the painter follows the wonderful tradition of the Russian plein air, revealing the soul of nature in all the richness of its forms, colors and light.
This exhibition is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the master and gives the Irkutsk audience the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of the original Siberian painter.
The exhibition will open on October 4 at 16.00 in the Gallery of Siberian Art of the Irkutsk Art Museum (23 Karl Marx St.) and will run until October 21. Entrance to the opening is free.
