The Center for Contemporary Art at the Palace of Congresses will host an exhibition of paintings by St. Petersburg artist Alexander Nikolenko.
The author’s path in art is unusual: at the end of the State Medical Academy. Mechnikov Alexander Nikolenko began his career at research institutes that study the human brain. At the same time, the young scientist became interested in drawing, calligraphy and computer graphics. In the future, love of beauty led Alexander to the museums of St. Petersburg, where he implemented virtual projects. Summarizing the experience gained, Nikolenko found his style in graphics and painting. Today he is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia and is actively involved in exhibition activities both in our country and abroad.
"The states of being" is a message to people of the present and future, to those who care about the unfolding drama of the advent of the machine world in the field of human values, basic attitudes and primary meanings. Modern man immersed in the ocean of information loses the meaning and meaning of primary values. The problem of devaluism (loss of the content of human values) raised in the author’s concept finds its solution in an attempt to present to the world the most complete and conceptually saturated spectrum of meanings, emotions and conditions that a person can survive, and at the same time lose in the very near future. The exhibition calls for the purification of the overloaded consciousness of modern man. A person of the 21st century, a person of the hyperinformation era. All parts and elements of the exhibition form an elusive sense of being and represent an author’s reconstruction of the foundations of communication of the future.
The exhibition will be held as part of the project “Contemporary Artists of Russia” and will be available to everyone from 11.00 to 17.00 from Thursday to Sunday. Free admission.
