A master of versatile talent, the author of remarkable monumental works and easel paintings, Alexander Ilyich Michri belongs to the older generation of figures of Russian fine art. An artist with equal dedication and professionalism works in different genres of painting. He paints portraits of contemporaries, genre scenes, metaphorical paintings. But the theme of the East, with which the independent path of the artist began, remains one of the main in his work. Israel, Tunisia, Egypt, Jordan, Central Asia became one of the main sources of inspiration for Michri. The nature, customs and traditions of the peoples of these countries and lands are an integral part of the master’s work.

Alexander Michri is a regular participant in Moscow, All-Russian, foreign and international exhibitions (since 1957). Personal exhibitions (over 30) were held in many cities of Russia (Moscow, Ryazan and other cities) and abroad (Turkmenistan, Cuba, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, Tunisia and other countries).
