Alexander Vladimirovich Markov is a native of the village of Berezovka, Kuytunsky district. Graduated from Tulun Pedagogical School (art and graphics department). He worked as a graphic designer in Tulun and Sayansk. In the 90s he took part in the design of the Church of the Annunciation under construction. He created carved wooden iconostases, church objects, panels. In his works, the master uses different types of carving: flat-relief, bas-relief and slotted. To implement ideas in his works, the artist is inspired by the motives of the ancient Russian pattern. Openwork ligature is used to create decor or ornament in the form of medieval weaving. Participant of various exhibitions and winner of several professional awards. In 2012, Alexander Markov was awarded the title of People’s Master of the Irkutsk Region.Participant and winner of several contests "Fairy Tale in a Tree". The master is represented at the exhibition with carved icons, panels with views of the Siberian forts, a series of works dedicated to the Russian alphabet.
