Aster Art Gallery holds a retrospective exhibition “3.0” of three abstract artists Vasily Vlasov, Danila Menshikov and Karlen Muradov in the exhibition hall of the Gallery “On Kashirka” nakashirke.com (Ak. Millionschikova St., 35, building 5). Opening of the exhibition - December 12, 2017 at 18.30.
3.0 (Three point zero) - behind a small set of characters lies a huge world of semantic constructs. The number three symbolizes three artists representing their works, which, like three straight lines, form an equilateral triangle - a single geometric figure directed strictly up and forward. The dominant position of the number three reflects the principle of anthropocentrism, which puts a person at the head of all other life, making it the root cause. It is man who creates art, not human art.
The number zero encodes the word "abstraction" - the main area of work presented at the exhibition. Zero - nothing - lack of specificity, this is just a flight of forms, colors and aspirations. Choosing this form of art, artists endow their work with a thousand designs. Exhibition 3.0 is a place free from common, established meanings. Between the two characters three and zero there is a dot. It separates the concepts of artist and abstraction and symbolizes the fact that the interpretation of the picture depends only on the observer. All the life experience and knowledge of the viewer are transformed into an understanding of the drawn. The author creates the plan, the viewer creates the meaning.
Completely free yourself from the given framework of perception, abstract from the intention of the artist. You have a full carte blanche to create meaning - create mentally, pass the visual picture through your consciousness and subconscious. Generate the meaning of what you see. Enjoy the intellectual processes that make it possible to create thought from external apperception. Immerse yourself in still unexplored emotions, fantasies and improvisations.
The work of Vasily Vlasov (b. 1953) is not associated either with art groups or with clearly defined concepts. Someone will see aestheticism, intellectualism, postmodernism in his works… Elements of various "isms" are fused in his work, like in a crucible, to create a special, deeply original and well-recognizable pictorial language. He is a graduate of the Moscow Polygraphic Institute, where he taught for several years. Vasily Vlasov - member of the Russian Union of Artists, founder of the international association “Book of the Artist”, full member of the Academy of Analytical Art. He is a participant in more than 250 all-union, international and foreign exhibitions.
Danila Menshikov (b. 1956) - graduate of the Art Institute. IN AND. Surikova, Honored Artist of Russia, member of the Russian Union of Artists since 1990. Works in various genres: painting, graphics, etching, watercolor, gouache, tempera, acrylic, mixed and author’s technique. He is equally interested in working in figurative space and in abstract space. In his abstract works, the artist uses symbolic and symbolic compositions, sophisticated colors, non-standard technical techniques, while not refusing, at the same time, drawing, exquisite lines, unexpected textures. He is a welcome participant in art exhibitions of the highest level.
Karlen Muradov (b. 1960) - Armenian by nationality, was born in Azerbaijan, studied in Russia, lived in the Urals. It is impossible to unambiguously determine to which geographical space it belongs, and it is also impossible to unequivocally speak in which direction its work is associated. The abstractions of the artist Karlen Muradov embody the features of the art of West and East. Brought up on the basis of these two cultures, he took from them the best and created a unique vision of the world. Since 1988, Karlen Muradov is a member of the Russian Union of Artists. Since 1982 - a member of numerous youth, republican, zonal, all-Union, international and foreign exhibitions.
The exposition of the exhibition includes the work of artists of different years of creativity, painting and graphics. Each of these three authors created their own new modern pictorial-plastic pictorial language. We compiled the exhibition on the principle of continuity and the alternation of the work of three artists in such a way as to enable the viewer to take a fresh look at their work.
The exhibition runs until December 24, 2017 inclusive.
