Higher school "Learning Environment" launches a distance learning program for continuing professional education in the history, theory and practice of contemporary Russian art Automatic translate
The two-year interdisciplinary program and workshops on artistic practice, art criticism and curating are aimed at young people who are interested in contemporary Russian art as a subject of close study.
“The presence of domestic art in world history is limited to a small list of names associated with the historical avant-garde. The existence of Moscow conceptualism and post-perestroika actionism can only be learned from the "marginal notes." Everything between and after is a mystery covered with darkness ”, - Arseniy Zhilyaev, artist, program leader.
Goal:
We want to make possible high-quality art education for students from any region of Russia, without the need to move to Moscow or St. Petersburg.
The objectives of the educational program:
- To enable an interested lover of contemporary art to become a professional audience, analyst and interpreter of art.
- To teach him to understand the contemporary artistic context and freely navigate the art market, select art projects and compose an integral composition from them, organize and supervise events.
- To help the artist with the search and development of his own figurative language, the formation of the concept and understanding of the contemporary artistic context.
Decision:
To comprehensively present Russian contemporary art from the end of the 19th century to the present, we have invited recognized artists, theorists and art critics, famous gallery owners to cooperate. The experience of art and teaching abroad allows our masters to present to the listener the best standards of Western art schools without losing the unique specificity of the Russian cultural context. Students will become familiar with the key names of contemporary art and will be able to plan their careers based on system knowledge of the art environment.

Today we provide more than 1,500 students with the opportunity to learn from industry leaders from where it is convenient, without the need to move to Mosca.
At that moment, when Russian universities were faced with the problem of releasing unskilled specialists who are unsure of the labor market due to lack of experience, we can boast of students who have internships and work in the profession from the first year of study.
