The program will be performed by Ivan Ozhogin, Natalya Pavlova and the Essay Quintet Instrumental Ensemble.
Spring comes to St. Petersburg with a concert by the ensemble “Essay Quintet” - and this has already become a tradition! For the fourth year in a row, young, romantic and daring musicians in alliance with a talented and charismatic singer Ivan Ozhogin invite Petersburgers to meet warmly and sunshine in the Northern capital! In 2014, in the crowded hall of the Academic Capella, folk songs and melodies from all over the world sounded penetratingly: Russian, Ukrainian, Georgian, Greek, Jewish. In 2015, the Great Hall of the Philharmonic hosted an incredible meeting of classics and rock, and in 2016, the Russian Spring winning program included wartime song masterpieces and post-war lyrics. This program was enthusiastically greeted by the audience of two cities - St. Petersburg and Berlin.
And this spring, the Essay Quintet is ready to present a new program that will unexpectedly reveal the possibilities of the team. “WE ARE READY TO IGNIT ROCK!!!”, the musicians say. Virtuosos promise the public a HIGH VOLTAGE CONCERT, performing rock in a new format of folk instruments with a magical attraction of the voices of ambitious vocalists Ivan Ozhogin and Natalya Pavlova. The ensemble "Essay-Quintet", playing on old Russian national instruments, thanks to the author’s modern processing turns famous works into a real treat for musical gourmets.
