In the first part of the program, Roman Gatilov, senior researcher at the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, will present to visitors a recently opened exhibition project "On the Homeland, Valor and Glory…" dedicated to the Patriotic War of 1812 and the foreign campaigns of the Russian army. More than six thousand Tatars participated in the fight against Napoleonic troops. From the Tatars of the Volga region, the First, Second and Third Teppyarsky Regiments, the First and Second Misharsky Regiments, as well as the Bashkir Regiment were formed. In the Patriotic War of 1812 and in foreign campaigns of the Russian army of 1813–1815. Tatars-Nagaybaks also participated.
Thanks to the rich material presented at the exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to realize the severity and scale of the war that took place more than 200 years ago, to feel the significance and significance of the largest event of the beginning of the 19th century not only for Russian, but also for world history.
In the second part of the meeting, the Tatar folklore ensemble of the Kazan State Institute of Culture “Komga kөn” will perform. The ensemble was created in 2006 by the Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, Professor, Head of the Department of Ethno-Artistic Musical Creativity and Education of KazGIK Enikeeva Alsu Rashidovna. Laureate of all-Russian and international festivals and competitions, organizer of Tatar traditional holidays, participant of the most important cultural and educational events and concerts in the Republic of Tatarstan, the ensemble “Komga kon” performs samples of oral, musical and ceremonial folklore of the Tatars. The compositions sound to the accompaniment of the members of the ensemble themselves on Old Tatar musical instruments: dumbra, def (oriental tambourine), kubyz (Tatar harp), weed (Tatar pity), kurai, tash sybyzgy (Tatar ocarina), as well as harmonica-lame and numerous percussion instruments.
The concert will feature the songs of the Tatars-Nagaybaks, dedicated to the Cossack’s wires to the army, dance and guest songs of Kryashen.
