A rarity is Dmitry Lysyakov’s commitment to classical realistic painting, to Russian classics, the style of which was formed at the turn of the 19th-20th centuries, to the classics of Valentin Serov and Konstantin Korovin, enriched with a personal, well-recognized artistic style. The direction of realism, which Dmitry Pavlovich adheres to in his works, reveals the true beauty of the world around him. The author loves and knows how to work from nature. Throughout his life, he remains faithful to the technique of oil painting and reaches significant heights in this direction.

The artist himself speaks about his favorite genre - etudes: “Landscape etude is like playing from sight. It is necessary to have time to reflect the fleeting elusive state spilled around. It is uncontrollable, volatile, and the result on the canvas is just as unpredictable. You cannot repeat this amazing breath of air, the complex color of the sky, the play of flowing water. You cannot repeat your impression, which is consonant with the mood of nature. Everything is alive in sketches, everything is true there. It’s like a lie detector. Nature does not allow false.
