Having passed through the centuries, the art of artistic wood carving is experiencing a rebirth today. Modern craftsmen resurrect this unique ancient craft, bring fresh ideas, new elements to it, revive interest in this art and pass on their skills to their students. Wood carving is embodied in many forms: decorating pieces of furniture, and decorating houses, churches and temples, creating large carved panels and decorative sculptures. The talent of the craftsmen to handle the natural qualities of the material allowed them to create inimitable and unique pieces.
