- Festival of Magic Chinese lanterns - a spectacle of incredible beauty! This is a real fairy tale, which you find yourself instantly. Our festival will be interesting to all ages. You will be happy to recall this unusual adventure in the evening. And these bright moments in your photos will please you and your friends for a long time to come.
Especially for the festival in Moscow, our Chinese partner developed new subjects for lighting designs on Russian themes: our guests will see familiar subjects from the tales of A.S. Pushkin, and of course, Santa Claus and Snegurochka will become the main decoration creating the necessary New Year mood. We hope that the festival of Magic Chinese lanterns will appeal to Muscovites and guests of the capital, ”said Sergey Netievsky, executive producer of the festival in Moscow.
The inspiration for the Magic Chinese Lantern Festival was the Chinese Lantern Festival, which is celebrated on the last day of the two-week Chinese New Year. According to tradition, on this day throughout China, residents light lanterns near their homes, and in many regions of the country there are bright lantern shows. Each light figure is a mini-masterpiece created by the hands of dozens of Chinese masters. In order to assemble one sculpture, 14 craftsmen need about 500 parts. And this is taking into account the fact that some lanterns reach more than 8 meters in height and 20 meters in length. All expositions are created from light silk stretched over rigid steel frames, which are revealed in all their glory thanks to special lighting. Many light figures are accompanied by thematic musical motifs that create the impression of a real trip to a real Chinese lantern festival in one of the provinces of China.
The show, based on ancient traditions and modern technology, was created by the Chinese company Haitian Culture. Since 2005, the Festival has visited more than 50 countries. The exhibition of magical Chinese lanterns has already been seen by residents of the USA and Canada, Lithuania, Holland, Italy, Estonia, Belarus, Germany, Spain, Great Britain and many other countries.
