The country is becoming completely different. The landscape that surrounds us is also changing rapidly. Many problems, including social ones, are expressed in the landscape, through the space in which we exist. At the exhibition “Internal Migration”, for example, three works with the same name “Natural boundary” will be presented. With a low horizon and a big sky; there is nothing more, emptiness; and glued bandages in those places - “like on scars,” the artist says, - where there were once buildings. Migachev recalls: “Last year, in the spring, in the rain, I went to the Sredny Zelenchuk river… There is a family from the cemetery. They tell me that they used to live here. They left, because - children, education, it was necessary to the city. Then they are asked to photograph them against the background of the farm. But there is no farm, that is, I had to photograph against the background of the void. As a background - just a background and no root system. Hence all the "Ivana-not-remembering-kinship." All this is put off in the space of the landscape. But it is also very important for me to have a personal experience about this. Maybe - this is internal migration, my personal, in addition to the whole social background ”.

The problem of internal migration, the gradual disappearance of the rural population in Russia, the outcome, forced the artist to travel to these former villages and villages. According to him, “scarring” is what remains of the landscape due to this same internal migration. Over the past two years, Migachev "surveyed" 6 regions of central Russia - Rostov, Voronezh, Lipetsk, Tula, Kaluga and Oryol. Vladimir MIGACHEV was born in 1959 in a village in the Oryol region. After graduating from the art and graphic department of the Kuban State University, he stayed to live in Krasnodar. In the mid-80s, he worked in the style of classical realism. Then there was a period of fascination with abstraction, which ended in the late 90s, after three years of painting the Orthodox church in Krasnodar. In the genre of landscape painting, Migachev has become a recognized master of contemporary art, or rather, “contemporary art,” which is what he prefers.
