This project is designed to show the wide audience some characteristic trends in easel art in Eastern Europe, the CIS, Russia and China. The project organizers, following the methodology of Jan Amos Komensky, the author of the famous encyclopedia-textbook published in the USSR in 1941 and 1957, “The World of Sensual Things in Pictures”, set the task of contemporary Russian and foreign artists to reflect in their work 100 current topics: 100 works are created by Russian artists and foreign works on the same 100 themes. The project is an attempt to at least partially restore a holistic, stereoscopic perception by a person of the world around him.
An unusual way to organize a mobile exposure. All works selected by the expert council of the Russian Academy of Arts have been translated into a single unified format (high-quality prints on canvas), which allows the viewer and specialists to comfortably carry out a comparative analysis of various points of view on the same topics. The format of the mobile exhibition is primarily an educational mission: to familiarize the audience of cities along the Silk Road route -2017 with the art that usually falls outside the scope of attention due to both geographical remoteness and the difference in cultural codes.
