A unique orchestra - the academy will perform in St. Petersburg - the world-famous Ural youth symphony orchestra will present in the Northern capital "An evening of symphonic music", dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the collective. The orchestra from Yekaterinburg unites more than 60 musicians - graduates and students of musical educational institutions. The orchestra is a concert workshop and educational platform for young musicians. Talented artists in love with their profession, for whom playing in an orchestra is not a chore, but a path to success, fulfill their every program with great enthusiasm and enthusiasm. Such outstanding conductors and teachers as the USSR people’s artists Vladimir Fedoseyev and Saulius Sondeckis, the art director of the St. Petersburg House of Music Sergey Roldugin and others work with UMSO. From the first concert season, the collective leads a full-fledged creative life: 30 concerts and 20 programs annually. UMSO is a participant in the largest international festivals in Russia abroad: the III Denis Matsuev Music Festival “Crescendo”, the “Kogan Festival” by Dmitry Kogan, the International Eurasia Music Festival, the Festival of World Youth Symphony Orchestras in Berlin, etc.
The St. Petersburg concert will be held as part of a large tour dedicated to the anniversary of the orchestra. The soloist will be the winner of the silver medal of the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition, Alexander Ramm, one of the most titled cellists of his generation. An outstanding musician, People’s Artist of Russia Alexander Rudin, who has been the main guest conductor of UMSO since 2016, will stand behind the conductor console.
The concert will take place on the stage of the State Academic Capella on October 8 at 19.00.
