Composer Emmanuel Dubois grew up in Brussels and graduated from the University of Brussels with a degree in organic chemistry. After moving to the United States, he continued his studies in science. An important turn in his biography was the work in the African representative office of one of the American banks. At 46, Dubois decided to fulfill his old dream and devote himself entirely to music. After completing a composition course at the University of Michigan, Emmanuel becomes a sought-after composer. For a quarter of a century in this field, he created about sixty works in different genres, the largest of which was Requiem for the Fallen, Op. 50 for orchestra, chorus and soprano solo.
