Art Gallery "Manufactory" presents the exhibition "Waiting for the Sun" by Kiev artist Dmitry Koval, recognized in creative circles as one of the best modern impressionists.
The main directions in the artist’s work are impressionism and pointillism, which Dmitry synthesized with abstract and decorative art, forming a unique author’s style.
The basis of the exposition is a series of works by the author - “Ukrainian Prayer”, which covers the period of creative life in 2012-2017. “The main thing in my work is truth and truth: it’s own, not clear to everyone, close, and not loved by everyone,” says the artist about his works. For him, painting is a means of expressing precisely those experiences and pains that are fueled by life, full of different surprises and their own severity… This is not art that is created according to the template, it is original, felt, self-sufficient. day, a week, a month… This image was formed over a long period of time, however, it is beyond epochs, because it cannot be attributed to contemporary art, however, it is modern and will be so in the distant future, the painter believes.
The main mission of his activity, Dmitry believes, is to instill in society a sense of beauty, aesthetics and an understanding of what good taste and art are. When people begin to realize life, not only as a material good, but also spiritual — society and the world will become better, ”the young artist is sure.
