“And I have an anniversary…”
The exhibition runs from September 17 to September 24, 2014.
The anniversary exhibition at the Moscow Museum of Folk Graphics is for Tatyana Kudrina a certain stage of serious reflection on the past, the accumulated, the achieved, the summing up of the preliminary results.
The exhibition will feature copyright products made in patchwork technology. Visitors will be able to admire the bright and colorful panels and bedspreads, children’s blankets, rugs sewn from the corners, amazing accessories, bags, cosmetic bags and unique items made in patchwork technique, such as vests, skirts, jackets. Patchwork is beautiful in that its elements used in clothes give individuality and originality to clothes, and patchwork in the interior creates an atmosphere of warmth and comfort in the house.
The author of the exhibition, Tatyana Kudrina, has been engaged in patchwork since 1997. The launching pad of her work was the Lada club at a leisure center in the prefecture of the Gagarinsky district of Moscow. Tatyana has been studying in it for many years. She studied with such famous teachers as Irina Mukhanova, Larisa Banakina, Marina Burovaya, Ksenia Dmitrieva.
Currently, Tatyana Kudrina is a member of the Association of Patchwork Sewing Masters of Russia; member of the Union of Folk Artists; member of the creative association “Patchwork Palette”. This is a recognized, unusually talented master, behind whom he participated in many projects, competitions, festivals:
- “Patchwork Mosaic of Russia”, Ivanovo, 2009, 2011, 2013;

- “Patchwork patterns of Russia” 2011, 2012;
- “Tradition”, St. Petersburg 2014;

Here is what Tatyana herself says about herself: “I like to sew the simplest and most necessary things - patchwork bedspreads, pillows, patchwork bags. And also I like to sew clothes with patchwork elements. I like traditional sewing techniques. I want to sew every day, it gives me great pleasure. I try not to miss the patchwork exhibitions. And I still have a lot of plans and hopes for the future. ”
And this means we are waiting for not a single interesting and unusually colorful exhibition project!
