Strelninsky landing - an operation that took place from October 5 to October 8, 1941, which saw as the goal to defeat the German group of forces, firmly occupying the area from Uritsk to Old Peterhof.
Around October 1, the Commander of the Leningrad Front, Army General G. Zhukov, it was decided to launch a landing in the enemy rear with the task of defeating the enemy’s group. On October 3, a tactical group of 225 people was planted at the Pismash plant. The landing party was able to seize the building of the Pishmash factory, block the Peterhof highway and occupy the state farm Proletarsky Trud. But the front-line units could not advance to meet him, and the Germans forced the paratroopers to leave their positions.
On the night of October 4–5, it was decided to strike again at the enemy and simultaneously land two troops in the rear: the first, consisting entirely of sailors, in the area of Alexandria Park in Peterhof; the second, consisting of fighters of the 20th Infantry Division of the NKVD, was in the Strelna area.
The landing of the 20th NKVD SD, which landed in Strelna, was blocked and destroyed. Of the 370 people landed, 205 were captured, the rest were killed.
Not imagining what actually happened with the landing, the command demanded that 130 people be landed in Strelna on the night of October 6 on the shore at the Mikhailovka estate. The landing was destroyed.
In this situation, the Soviet command decided to conduct a third landing east of Strelna. The landing took place on the shore near the modern cottages "Consular Village". The landing force on the water was met by intense artillery and mortar fire, and the sea waves reached 5 points. Some of the fighters and commanding officers panicked and refused to land, as a result of which 249 people landed, but they could not advance deeper into the coast, were blocked by the Germans and partially destroyed by dawn, some of the paratroopers apparently managed to return to their own.
