Creative project "Art extension" Automatic translate
The creative project "Art-extension" works in the MosART Cultural Center in the Ivanovo district and Novogireevo. The project is a series of exciting free workshops and promotions that are implemented with the support of the Moscow Department of Culture. The partner of the project is the production team of the site “Theories and Practices”
“Art Renewal” is a series of five actions aimed at studying modern art techniques: graffiti, creating parametric constructions and “back” space, pixel art, freestyle graphics. Every two weeks, residents of the capital become participants in a creative performance to transform the facade of the MosART cultural center in Novogireevo, using the most relevant and progressive techniques of public and street art. The creative process is supervised by famous contemporary artists and designers of the capital. Free shares will be held on the territory of the MosART Cultural Center on August 5 and 20, from 19.30 to 21.30, and also on September 5 from 13.00 to 14.30.
The purpose of the creative project “Art Renewal” is to involve the residents of the district in the life of the Cultural Center and in encouraging citizens to the creative process and changing the urban space. Well-known designers, leading workshops and events, talk about the current trends in environmental design and, together with the participants, change the appearance of the cultural center. Workshops will be of interest to a different age audience - from families with children to adult residents of the district and youth.
The curator of "Art Prodlenki" Panic Trees commented on the essence of the project: "Modernity is increasingly shifting the boundaries of established genre definitions in art, we no longer insist on the terms of sculpture, installation, performance. Increasingly, we are turning to the definition of “aesthetics of interaction,” which describes a new format for the viewer’s communication with a work of art. Within the framework of the project, bright young artists create works on the verge of street art installations, public actions and happening, involving the residents of the city as much as possible in a workshop format, almost turning into the sphere of interpersonal interaction, and directly affect the local community’s interest in creative activity and freedom. ”
The next action will be held on August 5. The artist Katya Reisher, known throughout the world, will hold a public art action to create a back space. Participants of the action will decorate the lattices of the Cultural Center, as if turning the context of the building outward, reflecting its essence and significance. “Using everyday objects, household utensils and personal items, we will create an image of personal space, home comfort, what is usually hidden and protected will be integrated into the street space. The collective process of working on installations will help us identify common markers and symbols of comfort and home. The composition will use general consumption items: watering can, mug, rubber mat, basin, pan, brush, clothespins, fabric. Workshop participants will bring with them things that they would like to build into the installation or exchange for another item directly at the workshop. Thus, we will try to make a dialogue between the participants of the event and the creative process, ”explains the artist.
All events are free.
