In the Ivanovo region, the creative campus of the School of Design of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation will open. This provides a declaration of cooperation between the university and the government of the region.
The document today, May 24, was signed by Acting Governor of the Ivanovo Region Stanislav Voskresensky and RANEPA Rector Vladimir Mau at the site of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The campus will be curated by the director of the RANEPA School of Design, art producer, founder of the VINZAVOD Center for Contemporary Art (Moscow), adviser to the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Sofya Trotsenko.
On campus, students from the School of Design of the Institute of Social Sciences of the RANEPA will be organized. The main focus of practice will be the study and popularization of the historical and cultural heritage of the Ivanovo region. Participants and students of the campus, in particular, will create a corporate identity and a brand of the cities of Ivanovo and Yurivets, will develop a design for the design of a tourist brand, promotional materials and an art-tourist map of the region.
The signed declaration aims at strategic cooperation in the educational, cultural, educational and practical fields, support and development of creative activity in the Ivanovo region.
According to Stanislav Voskresensky, “there are many stereotypes about the Ivanovo region. In part, they are true, because the region was and remains the Russian textile capital. Unfortunately, these advantages of the territory are no longer enough to withstand the competition that arises between the regions. We have a huge layer of cultural and historical heritage, which, in my opinion, is not widely known outside the region. This is precisely the potential that should be fully claimed for the benefit of the Ivanovo region. I am sure that cooperation with the School of Design will help us to evaluate this potential in a new way and I hope that the best modern practices in the field of design, sociocultural design and capitalization of cultural heritage will be realized thanks to this agreement. ”
