At the meeting, Alexey will talk about his understanding of the principles of documentary photography. Within its framework, the photographer will conduct a tour of the Kolodozero exhibition and answer questions from guests about his work. Everyone who is willing to ask questions and discuss them is invited to participate in the meeting.
Alexey Myakishev photographs in classic analog black-and-white technique with Leica, Konica, Nikon cameras on Kodak Tri-X film. In preparing works for exhibitions, he uses manual printing techniques. In his luggage, participation in many collective exhibitions, as well as personal exhibitions in Russia, France, Germany, Canada. Currently, the author is working on several documentary projects devoted to provincial Russia. Photos are stored in the municipal library of Auxerre (France), in the Leica-Russia collection and various private collections in Germany, France, Spain, and Russia.
