A tactile copy of the painting "The Pauper. Girl-Fisherwoman" by Ilya Repin will appear in the Irkutsk Art Museum Automatic translate
The Touching Art project of the Irkutsk Art Museum managed to raise funds for the production of the first tactile painting on the Bumstarter platform. Recall that the project was launched in early May 2016. Its purpose is to create relief copies of paintings from the main exposition of the Irkutsk Art Museum. With their help, visitors with visual impairments will be able to feel the art, better understand what painting is, and imagine the art paintings known to the Irkutsk people.
“Such a painting can be made by the specialized enterprise“ Tiflotsentr Vertical ”in Torzhok,” says Natalya Goncharenko, project curator and deputy general director of the museum, “this is a laborious and lengthy process, therefore the cost of one relief painting is quite high. We have already managed to raise one money. ”
The total amount of donations received from 85 participants is about 340 thousand rubles. From this amount, as Natalya Goncharenko said, it is necessary to pay taxes and the organizational fee of the crowdfunding platform. Thus, the funds raised are enough for the manufacture, delivery to Irkutsk and execution in a baguette of one tactile picture.
“We will have some money left, but it will not be enough for another picture,” says Natalya Goncharenko, “we hope that more donations will be received. The project ended only at Boomstarter. But everyone who wants to help can go directly to the museum. ”
