From October 7 to 26, a unique exhibition of like-minded artists, members of the TSHR, the Professional Union of Artists and the Union of Artists of the Moscow Region Tatyana Kostenko and Alexander Osin will be held at the Exhibition Hall of the MAHL RAX.
The exhibition will include 70 paintings and 16 decorative author plates created over the past seven years. Also, the viewer has a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the beginning of the artists’ creative career - the “Theater of Russian Fashion”, which Alexander Osin and Tatyana Kostenko created in the late 80s.
The work of Alexander Osin and Tatyana Kostenko is a kind of mixture of symbolism, subtle irony and science fiction. Artists, of course, are united by a common style and orientation, but at the same time it is very interesting to observe how they use artistic means in different ways to express their ideas.
Tatyana Kostenko loves bright, open colors, so that her work becomes decorative. Great love for our smaller brothers is visible in works depicting animals and insects, which T. Kostenko “humanizes”, making them allegorical characters. The artist’s paintings reflect the diversity of her spiritual world, her obvious passion for music, theater, and literature. To transfer each image, she is looking for a kind of code. Often the objective world depicts stylizedly, avoiding volumes, giving preference to plastic lines.
The artistic language of Alexander Osin depends on the object of embodiment - either conditional, minimalistic, or detailed to the smallest detail. Often the artist uses a metaphor, allegorical. Subtexts, riddles, encrypted meanings, fantasies… The art of A. Osin is difficult to attribute to any particular direction of painting, although its internal addictions to surrealism and expressionism are obvious.
We invite you to touch the wonderful world of art and fantasy, colors and images, and try to become a co-author in reading what he saw.
