From the Monorail Depot to the Ostankino TV Tower. ” The new program "Metrotour", a joint project of the Moscow Metro and the City Tour Bureau of the Museum of Moscow, in partnership with the Ostankino TV Tower, for the first time will combine visits to these unique architectural and technological sites in Moscow. The first tour will take place on June 27 at 19:30.

The excursion will begin with the depot of the Monorail transport system. The cosmic appearance of the compositions, which successfully fit into the landscape of the northeast of Moscow together with VDNH and the Cosmonautics Museum, the Telecentre and the Ostankino Tower, is familiar to many, but outsiders did not manage to look into the holy of holies of this system - a high-tech depot. Guests will see with their own eyes the principles of the Monorail transport system: how the turntable is arranged for trains under the futuristic depot dome, the control room, from where the monorail is controlled, will observe how the arrow on the beam of a unique design is translated.

The journey will continue with a monorail ride on a special train in which there will be no other passengers. Wagons will make two unusual stops on a beam on the hauls between stations, as if hovering over a city. This will provide an opportunity to capture unique views of the Exhibition of Economic Achievements and the Ostankino Pond, the Ostankino Museum-Estate, the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity. From here a view of two television centers opens: the first was built as the Ostankino TV tower in 1967, the second - in honor of the Olympics-80. The journey will end at the Telecentre station, near the next point of the excursion - the Ostankino television tower.

Tour participants will hear a story about the history of the tower, its weather and analytical function. On a high-speed elevator they will rise to a technical level (85 m mark), previously accessible only to specialists. They will see the Ostankino tower from the inside and learn about its design and engineering features, the difficulties that arose during its construction. Then they will go to a height of 337 meters - to one of the highest viewing platforms in Moscow to see the panorama of Moscow in the sunset and try a specially created cocktail from the chef of the legendary Seventh Heaven restaurant.

Ticket price: 3500 rubles. When buying a ticket, you must provide the data of all participants of the tour: name, passport of the Russian Federation (for children, birth certificate): series, number, by whom and when issued.
