Stop for a moment - you are wonderful… ”said Faust in Goethe’s famous work.
I want to experience a wonderful moment again and again, and negative moments are remembered as an important experience. Unfortunately, the moment is instantaneous and remains only in memories, it is carefully stored, but the effect of the first sensation is gradually erased. The means of art can accomplish the impossible, and the Still Moments project allows you to stop that fleeting moment and relive it again and again, without losing the brightness of the sensations.
The Still Moments project includes a series of still lifes that capture warm and close, and sometimes cold and frightening moments experienced in the past. Today this is history, but each work of the series allows you to plunge into the abyss of the past, to experience those heart-stirring moments that a certain Parisian fashionista experienced in the sixties or a Soviet scientist in the forties.
The composition and perspective in still lifes are created in such a way that the viewer reincarnates as the heroes of the paintings and becomes a contemporary of the depicted stories. The color of still lifes emphasizes the features of each moment.
The moment is fleeting, intangible and is perceived only as a past fact, but these moments make up our life.
Moments are like grains of sand in hours of time, which is measured to us, they inexorably fall down and disappear in the sands of the past, so why not stop a few grains of sand and enjoy them to the full.
