The project of the Belyaevo Gallery of the Exhibition Halls of Moscow Association for the Development of Local Territory by means of culture was one of the winners of the new Museum 4. 0 contest of the Vladimir Potanin Foundation’s charity program Museum Without Borders in the New Challenges nomination.

“Belyaevo Development” is a large-scale project aimed at creating a new image of the Belyaevo region with its rich tangible and intangible heritage, favorable for living, development of creative industries, socially significant projects and initiatives, economically attractive for future investors. A project in which technologies of sociocultural design combined with artistic strategies are oriented towards identifying the identity of the region, its research and representation using various media with the direct participation of residents.

The process of personal, sensual development of the district will be carried out through joint educational, artistic, theatrical and social practices. During the project, it is planned to organize regional expeditions and research involving urbanists, cultural experts, linguists, architects, local historians, and historians. Based on the collected materials in the Belyaevo Gallery in June 2019, a district museum will be opened for visitors, a site with an open multimedia archive will appear, where personal stories, memories, photographs from the archives of local residents will be presented, a local guide to the district in Russian and English will be published languages ​​with illustrations by contemporary artists.

In the courtyard areas of the district, mobile workshops will start working: social technologies, where possible programs of good neighborliness and social entrepreneurship will be discussed; art strategies, where with the participation of modern artists public objects and land art will be created, articulating the identity of the area; applied arts, where projects will be developed to improve public areas of the district and courtyards, design projects of urban furniture and its elements.

In the gallery "Belyaevo" the musical and theater laboratory will begin its work, the result of which will be the street theater festival of amateur culture "Outskirts", where residents can present themselves and their area using art.

As the director of the Exhibition Halls of Moscow Association Marina Bushueva notes, the positive experience of the Belyaevo Development project, which represents a new model of sociocultural design, will be applied and will be further developed in the work of the Association’s network structure.

The Belyaevo Development project will be implemented from November 2018 to August 2020. Among the key events of the project: the opening of the Museum of the district, the launch of the site of the Center for Identity, the presentation of the local guide "Other Belyaevo", the presentation of public and land art objects in the public areas of the district, the summer street theater festival "Outskirts".
