“The Nutcracker and the Mouse King” is a special fairy tale. Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann left so much room for fantasies and interpretations in it that every director, taking up this fertile material for the production, sees his story and creates his own amazing world of fairy-tale heroes!

The performance of the directors, merit. Artists of Crimea Anastasia and Sergey Permyakov, based on Hoffman’s work, mesmerizes and invites you to a country where love, loyalty, friendship and everything that makes our life brighter, more interesting and more magical rules! Indeed, during the New Year holidays it is so important to believe in magic and miracles! Only with those who believe, sometimes amazing things happen!

Speaking about the plot, the directors decided not to abandon the canonical reading of the well-known fairy tale: the brave girl Masha, the bewitched young Nutcracker (aka Captain Daniel, the leader of the troops of the Mona Lisa) and his friends have to fight the army of the evil Queen Myshilda and her son Nicholas, go through difficult trials to prove that only a kind and responsive heart can destroy the most evil spell.

Colorful costumes, sets and video projections will take the audience to the magical world of Hoffmann, and the instructive plot of the fairy tale will once again remind us that compassion, courage and kindness make us really beautiful.

More than 50 people are involved in the show - artists of the Crimean Theater of Young Spectators and groups of the Golden Key children’s theater.
