Sergei Valentinovich Kalachev in St. Petersburg is known as a monumental artist, and exhibitions in Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic made him a name in Eastern Europe and allowed him to be talked about as a serious artist with a “European” approach to painting. The master constantly searches in the field of form, rhythm, color harmony. This is reflected in his paintings and corresponds to his conviction that the artist’s task is to constantly search for himself and his special individual path, tuned to the guidelines of internal needs, and not to the mainstream logic. “Art for me is a way in my own way to look at the world, at myself in this world and transform my emotions into paintings. "
