April 21 in the St. Petersburg House of Nationalities Art Gallery «DiaS» in conjunction with the regional public organization «Irkutsk Association of Angara» opens an art exhibition «Victory. Years Without War «, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War.
A great victory is not only a memory, but also a feeling in the soul of every Russian person. Echoes of victory are still heard in our hearts with pride and aching pain. And after 70 years, Victory Day remains a «holiday with tears in his eyes.» How did Siberia live in those years? What reminds Siberians of war and peace? Why are we happy and we are bitterly hurt? Seventy years, subtly and accurately noticed by Siberian artists. The opportunity to see our common feelings - sincere, strong, unified throughout the all-Russian space.
The mission of the Art Gallery «DiaS» is to preserve the unity of memory, to strengthen the connection with the native land in spite of time and distances. 70 years, 4,416 kilometers and one Victory, one Life, one Russia.
Participating in the exhibition are artists such as Sergei Zhilin, Nikolai Zhitkov, Vladimir Nikishin, Gennady Kuzmin and many other authors well known to the Russian art community - from Irkutsk, Angarsk, Bratsk - large and small cities of Siberia. In total, the art gallery will present about 50 paintings.
The exhibition is included in the list of events for the celebration of the Great Victory.
The address of the exhibition: Mokhovaya St., Building 15, St. Petersburg House of Nationalities
