On April 21, at the St. Petersburg House of Nationalities, the DiaS art gallery, together with the Angara regional public organization Irkutsk fraternity, opens the Victory. Years Without War ”dedicated to the 70th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The great victory remains not only a memory, but also a feeling in the soul of every Russian person. The echoes of victory are still heard in our hearts, both in pride and in pain. And after 70 years, Victory Day remains a "holiday with tears in his eyes." How did Siberia live in these years? What reminds Siberians of war and peace? Why are we happy and what makes us bitter? Seventy years is finely and precisely noticed by Siberian artists. The opportunity to see our common feelings is sincere, strong, and unified throughout the entire Russian space.
The mission of the DiaS art gallery is to preserve the unity of memory, to strengthen communication with the native land in spite of time and distance. 70 years, 4416 kilometers and one victory, one life, one Russia.
Such artists as Sergey Zhilin, Nikolai Zhitkov, Vladimir Nikishin, Gennady Kuzmin and many other authors well-known to the Russian art community - from Irkutsk, Angarsk, Bratsk - large and small cities of Siberia, take part in the exhibition.
