From October 4 to 7, the Second Moscow Open Yogafest Yoga Festival will be held at the Vetoshny Art Center Automatic translate

The Yogafest 2012 festival will bring together leading yoga clubs and manufacturers of yoga products, Ayurvedic centers and cosmetic companies, as well as manufacturers of ecological food, bookstores, and travel agencies.

The festival will be adorned with two exhibitions presented by the State Gallery “ON KASHIRK”: photo works by artist Alexander Gusev “Hit the Nepal” that will decorate the hall for yoga classes and the collective exhibition “Light of India” (painting and graphics).

Artists participating in the project “The Light of India” each manifest their own vision and attitude to the theme of the “East”. Most artists are participants in a creative expedition to various regions of India during 1991-2010. The project is accompanied by music using oriental motifs, with the presentation of performance and video series. Curators: Shechkin Valery and Natra Eugene.

Within four days of the festival, two venues will be open: one for lectures, master classes, and the other for yoga. To do yoga with famous teachers, you need to take clothes with you, change clothes in the locker room and go to the Yoga room. All classes will be held for free, you only need to buy an entrance ticket to the festival.

Yogafest 2012 will be honored with the presence of the famous astrologer Bhagavata Das, who will give a lecture “Karma. Freedom of choice from the point of view of Jyotish (Vedic astrology) and scientist Dhanurdhara Swami Maharaj will meet the Russian public for the first time and will present the film “Women of Bhakti”.

Every day at the Yogafest festival for children from 4 to 12 years old, they will read the fairy tales “Little Muk” and “Golden Antelope”. Children can not only listen to oriental tales, but also get acquainted with a cute doll - Little Muk, take part in a quiz and win memorable gifts.

Yoga classes in various fields, lectures on psychology and astrology, on beauty and health, dietetics workshops, vegetarian cooking workshops, environmental products and a Vedic cafe, a movie screening, a daily music program from 4 p.m. until the festival closes (singing mantras, contemporary ethnic music), Bollywood dances, ethnic drumming, children’s cognitive program, contests and live communication with friends and like-minded people.

On Thursday and Friday from 13.00 to 16.00 a social program is provided for expectant mothers and babies, as well as for older people “50+”. During these hours the entrance to the festival, lectures and master classes will be FREE.
