An art exhibition dedicated to the poet’s birthday will open at the Marina Tsvetaeva House-Museum.

From October 16 to 31, 2024, a collective exhibition of works by contemporary artists, “The Fifth Season,” will be held in the concert hall of the Marina Ivanovna Tsvetaeva House-Museum.

The Creative Union of Artists of Russia and the Creative Union of Artists of Decorative and Applied Arts together with curator Lyudmila Charskaya present an exhibition project called "The Fifth Season", which brings together works by nineteen artists from Moscow. Viewers will see landscapes, abstract and narrative compositions, executed in different styles and techniques.

“The authors share their insights gained in the process of understanding Tsvetaeva’s poetry. They open the spiritual dimension to the viewer with the help of their canvases. The paintings selected for the exhibition “The Fifth Season” demonstrate a focus on fantasy, dream, and poetic perception of the world. Combining painting, fine art with poetry, the artists demonstrate a deep attachment to their native culture,” notes the curator of the project, head of the painting/graphic department of the Tsvetka Art and Design Institute, artist and collector Lyudmila Charskaya.

The exhibition is a unique collection of works and unites the creativity of artists of different directions and styles. Visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of interpretations of the poet’s work and views on fundamental issues. Viewers will see the crystal waves of Marina Kutenkova, the mystical realism of Olga Mochalova, the philosophical pop art of Dmitry Oktyabrsky and Yulia Khishchenko, the fascinating botanical relief of Svetlana Mayorova, the finest watercolor graphics of Vladimir Korotun… - a diverse and at the same time integral exposition, where each work is an immersion into the world created by the beloved poet.
