From 09/26/2018 to 05/10/2018, a personal art exhibition of the works of Svetlana Georgievna Matkovskaya will be presented in the exhibition hall of PAX Lavrushinsky 15.

The exposition tells the audience about the difficult and unbanal creative path of the artist in search of his unique style and self-realization in various genres.

Svetlana Georgievna has always been noticeable in the domestic art horizon. She exhibited her works in the legendary hall at 28 Malaya Gruzinskaya Street. Thanks to her participation in these historically significant exhibitions that had a tremendous impact on the development of Russian culture, the artist rapidly expanded her horizons and creativity, already beyond the boundaries of her usual and native academic graphics and paintings. She graduated from the art department of the Pedagogical University / former Moscow State Pedagogical Institute. Lenin /

New compositional constructions, original plots, fantasies and complex metamorphoses enriched Svetlana’s searches and creative solutions. Her works began to appear regularly in the autumn-winter salons of the Moscow Union of Artists and exhibitions of artists and educators.

This early period (1975-1985) is presented in the second hall of the Lavrushinsky 15 gallery.

In 1991 the artist enters the picturesque section of the TSH of Russia. and later - to the International Art Fund, t / o-Irida- and to the club-Creative environments- By activating her exhibition activities, she begins experiments and searches for new ways in composition, color and technique. The author was carried away by impressionism and expressionism, a series of works of these art movements appeared.

For the past ten years, Svetlana has painted abstract paintings in which she is interested in searching and creating new harmonies of color, mood and state of mind.

Combining abstractionism with real objects and figures in them, she seeks a synthesis of the surrounding reality with such concepts of abstraction as a point, a line, a spot. In 2012, the artist joined the Union of Abstracts of Russia.
