The Russian Academy of Arts presents the research project “Russian Expanses” of the Design Section of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, the Volga Region Branch of the Russian Academy of Arts and the Scientific and Organizational Directorate for Coordination of Fundamental Scientific Research Programs of the Russian Academy of Arts, which is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, and the Legislative Assembly Vladimir region, Vladimir regional committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, All-Russian public-state organization "Union of Women of Russia", Department of Architecture of the Russian Academy of Arts and Department of Design of the Russian Academy of Arts.

Among the planned events: an exhibition demonstrating the latest creative proposals for the development of Russian tourism, created within the framework of the state program “Integrated Development of Rural Territories” and the national project “Tourism and Hospitality Industry”, a show “Costume Design”, a conference, a round table on issues import substitution, presentation of the “Facing the Sun” project.

Thanks to the Government order on the implementation of the tourism development strategy in the Russian Federation for the period until 2035, the relevant organizations have taken a serious approach to solving the national project “Tourism and Hospitality Industry”. Participants’ proposals will help make travel around the country convenient, safe and interesting, which implies an increase in the number of trips across Russia to 140 million per year.

Such initiatives are a reason to carefully study the situation and an opportunity to identify the unobvious tourism potential of territories. Numerous master plans for macro-regions and tourism development schemes are being developed, different types of tourism are being developed - natural, cultural and educational, beach, industrial, gastronomic, health, extreme, etc. There is a need to develop marketing of tourist destinations, comfortable accommodation facilities, transport and other necessary infrastructure. Creative works created by Russian architects and designers take into account the development of all these areas.

The main task set before them is to propose projects for the construction of a complex of residential and educational buildings, utility rooms, food outlets, sports areas, united by a single style and a common idea. The organizers conducted research work in all regions of our country and in their decisions took into account the national traditions of each region, their geographical location and living conditions. The result of the work was projects for the construction of modular hotels, campsites, glampings and the arrangement of their territories, some of which will be presented in the halls of the Museum and Exhibition Complex of the Russian Academy of Arts.
