The legendary art association "Temple Wall" - academic grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Petrov-Vodkin - are preparing a large-scale group exhibition.

The artist and teacher Osip Abramovich Sidlin, the founder of the Sidlin School, studied with the painter Petrov-Vodkin and often attended the workshops of Malevich and Osmyorkin. Osip Abramovich preached monumentalism in painting, which was learned and conceptualized by a student of his school, Yuri Nashivochnikov, who created the Temple Wall art association (the successor school).

Yuri Nashivochnikov’s pedagogical talent made it possible to develop painting as a "living letter", rather than a set of technical skills of academic drawing. School "Temple Wall" strikes with its purity and naturalness of images, it is unambiguous stylistically and is characterized by subtle varied colors, recognizability and a special, let’s say, mood. It is the diversity of teachers and students of the Temple Wall School that has led to the emergence in art circles of such a term as the Sidlin School tree. To date, its crown is considered the studio of monumental painting "The Fourth Floor", which was created in 2012 by the students of Yuri Nashivochnikov V. Ustinsky, D. Markul and V. Garde.

The Artmuz Museum will recreate the whole picture of continuity, bringing together all schools and their representatives in an ambitious project "IN THE FLOW OF LIGHT", uniting two galleries of the Museum and more than ten artists.
